Disabled Health Insurance? | |
I am recently officially approved disabled by SSD and HS. I will now make over the $600 maximum per month from SSD and will be canceled for HS and Medicade and told I must wait two years to be approved by Medicare for Health Inusrance which is I understand and 80/20 plan and I would then need and get a supplemental Health plan to cover the 20% not covered by diability under mMedicare. I am a 53 y/o with diagnosed Progressive MS and am half blind and stumble around with a blind man's white cane. This whole system is a bad joke of government mismanagement I will address politically, however I can not allow family memebers to have to cover my medical costs for two years. Where can I find any reasonable Health coverage with MS as there is none offered in my State of Oregon under $400 a month with deductibles, and what else there is offered for low income has a 1 year waiting line-up of applicants. What a joke of system for the officially handicapped.
Answers:
1Have you looked into the MySimpleCard membership?
Sounds like you could use many of the included benefits.
It could be purchased as a supplemental benefit to your
other health insurance, especially if you have a higher
deductible. Also, it could be a standalone plan too.
Be sure to look into their home delivery
program for the prescription drugs, also vision program,
and of course the doctors visits benefit.
